The revised Standard on Perioperative Attire follows on perfectly from our previous discussions on Infection Prevention. The health care environment is ever-changing with new multi-drug resistant pathogens and viral mutations emerging regularly. It is important for perioperative nurses to try and keep our thinking and practice ahead of the pathogens and their mutations to assist in preventing infections for our patients and ourselves.-
