dc.descriptionThe Tuberculosis Chalet was an Isolation Ward placed on the hospital grounds to house patients with infectious diseases. Primarily Tuberculosis at the time of installation in 1946. This building was formally an army hut that was adapted into patent rooms. Before the Chalet was added to the Hospital, patients needing isolation were place on wards and barrier nursed to prevent infection to other patients.
